As the first 100 days of the second Trump administration come to a close, ActionAid USA’s Director of Policy and Campaigns, Brandon Wu, said:
“In only 100 days, the Trump administration has begun a full-frontal assault on freedom of speech and freedom of dissent, attacked crucial government programs that directly benefit regular people instead of billionaires and corporations, and destroyed U.S. legitimacy abroad by dismantling USAID and the State Department. We need to see all of this for what it is: an authoritarian power grab combined with massive levels of grift and corruption.
This administration is making official policy based on right-wing fever dreams. In the process, they are destroying real lives and livelihoods both in the United States and abroad.”
