Development Intern

Meet Kaelyn, ActionAid USA’s Development Intern! In this role, she assists the Development team with raising funds to support the continuation of ActionAid’s work around the world.

Kaelyn is a senior at American University majoring in Sociology with a focus in Social Justice and Inequalities. She spends a lot of her time studying queer theory and intersectional theory. She previously interned at the International Women’s Forum and the Capital Region Institute for Human Rights. Her passions align with ActionAid’s work, specifically poverty alleviation, land rights, and intersectional feminism. Though an Upstate New York native, Kaelyn lives in Maryland and loves reading, art, and exploring the DMV.

Why are you working with ActionAid?  

ActionAid USA not only has an uplifting and welcoming team, but the work that they do creates a world of equity, sustainability, and promise for a better future.
