Content Warning: This is a campaign to fight gender-based violence and harassment in the workplace.
#MeToo forced all of us to acknowledge just how common it is for women to experience violence and harassment. For 818 million women around the world, it is a daily reality.
Yet currently, only a few countries have effective laws and policies in place to prevent, address and remedy gender-based violence and harassment in the workplace. Here’s a chance now to change that:
This June, governments, employers and trade unions will come together to negotiate an international law – a Convention under the International Labour Organization (ILO) – to end violence and harassment in the workplace. They will be meeting at the 108th International Labour Conference in Geneva, Switzerland, and need to hear that there is broad public support for this ILO Convention.
Sign the pledge today! Let governments and others at the ILC know that you stand with women workers and support the adoption of an effective ILO Convention and Recommendation on ending violence and harassment in the workplace.
