Activista is made up of youth activists working with artists, film-makers, musicians and with partner student campaigning organisations to create powerful and creative campaigns.
Activista empowers and enables young people to actively participate in the decision making and political processes that affect their lives. We aim to build Activista as a global youth movement – a platform for young people around the world, from rich or poor countries, urban and rural areas, to unite and share ideas and act in solidarity.
Do you want to change the world? Do you want to connect with youth who share your dreams?
Activista's network focus is on capacity building, shared learning, global campaigning, and strong national networks. We aim to develop young leaders and activists with the skills, knowledge and attitude necessary to create social change.
We also work to create a space for global discussions amongst activists to improve the capacity to organise and mobilise youth – using social media and other tools to connect marginalised youth with other youth and power holders.
We develop strong and sustainable national Activista networks of core volunteers and partners in all Activista countries, and countries take part of campaigning globally and global campaign actions.
Activista works closely with the ActionAid Global Platforms who run international trainings for youth activists and organisers. You can read more about the Global Platforms on http://www.globalplatforms.org/.
